Wish that ball left the park, because you know he's about to get stranded

Carpenter owes Martinez and Grichuk both a drink.

Very fun walk off, just wish Martinez could've gotten the win

That wainwright injury made me all in on DH in the NL

Yea, the pros (vs cons) are there. Less risk on injuries, and a better product, imo. Watching a position group hit .130 isn't that entertaining, and there's no real "strategy" getting around it. Its pretty much common sense how teams combat it. #NeverBunt haha

I'd say it depends. It really adds up over the course of a game and season. With runners on base, the pitchers still stare down and check the runners. I mean, what's the argument for it? Very rarely is it screwed up, or the pitcher tricks the batter and throws a quick strike. Its just not worth keeping around for the possibility of something that happens once in a several thousand chance.

But why change it if it isn't making much of a difference anyways. There's other things that can be done to speed the game up, that seems like the silliest one to nix

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

Lol the IBB rule literally trims like 30 secs from every third game. I think there was an IBB every 3.2 games or something like that last season. Useless rule change.

Its just one of many things they are changing to speed the game up. The number one complaint of baseball, outside of genuine dislike, is that the games last too long. I don't really mind it, but MLB wants quicker games, so if this is one way they are trying to do so, I don't mind it. Its not a significant enough change that alters the game.

Yea, the past 6 years has averaged out to, roughly, every 4th game. It will hardly be missed.
