Team has always looked good on paper, they just haven't been able to put together a sustained run of success until now (except a bit in late April). Helps that the Brewers are imploding and Cubs can't win on the road

 

Agreed with that. Doesn't hurt that the bullpen has been fantastic this year, too, and the lineup's been much better since Fowler was moved to the leadoff.

 

Fowler/Wong in the 1-2 spot took way too long to happen but is perfect (vs RHP). And I'm still scratching my head as to why the bullpen is good. Also Flaherty turning back into 2018 Flaherty down the stretch has been huge

It’s very.....sad .....being in a ballpark of a team that is going nowhere. I mean i’m.m a mets fan i know it more than most but they at least draw crowds.
