I think it’s more about losing their draft pick. If they sign him it will be after the draft. But it would be pointless then bc they’ll prob be out of contention. I could totally see them being 10 games out by the end of this month.

 

Oh yeah I forgot he and Keuchel both cost picks. By the time either is game ready it's kinda not even worth it til after the draft
