The list is so long it's absolutely insane

I get that the tragic death of your franchise-cornerstone-to-be really fucks up your organization's long-term plans (we had similar shockwaves after Oscar Taveras' death, and our outfield carousel since then shows it) but it seems like the Marlins just haven't had a plan at all beyond "sell everybody" since 2016. And what's so insane is that it's at least the third time in the Marlins' short history that they've just had a fire sale for no reason besides cost-slashing. Someone should write a book about it, it's so so baffling.

 

Jordan Hicks just almost broke Bryce Harper's ankle swinging at back to back 90 mph sliders inside and in the dirt

edit: and then he struck out on the exact same pitch three pitches later

 

I never thought Harper would look this bad.

I did, I knew he was streaky, but I've honestly have never seen him play this bad.

 

Harper will be fine. If Matt Carpenter wasn't a thing Harper would maybe be the streakiest NL hitter. He was hot as hell the first several games of the season--he's not broken or something.

Angels just need to prop Pujols up for another six weeks so he can finally return to Busch in June and get his ten minute standing ovation. If they could also convince my sister not to get married in New Jersey on that particular weekend and cause me to miss attending that momentous baseball occasion, that would be super cool too

I wonder what the biggest runs to hits differential has ever been in a game. Phillies have 6 runs on 3 hits. I wonder if there's ever been a gap of 10 or more.
