Absolute steal for Buffalo. Still bitter that Boston protected Kevan Miller over him.

Having Chiller could have given Boston more flexibility in trading Krug, and I would imagine this makes a Risto trade more likely?

 

They've been trying to trade risto forever, I doubt this changed anything

 

Bogosian or Ristolainen probably gone by season opener. Sabres have Montour, Miller, Ristolainen, Bogosian and Casey Nelson all as RHD with NHL experience plus Will Borgen ready as a call-up.

I've been beating this drum all week long after they did literally nothing at the draft. Miller's a really good fit for this team I think and the price is not anything I care about. Still waiting on more moves but happy Botterill showed he has a pulse

Miller and Montour (STL pick did not end up going to Anaheim but could have and Botterill wasn't trading a #1 without having another to fall back on) are technically part of the ROR return. Still not great but okay.

 

The Sabres with right-handed defensemen who can pass the puck will be a weird sight.

 

Can’t link it from my phone but the official NHL Seattle Twitter account posted an odd video of them throwing a squid on a conference table and said like “best celly to end the last meeting of the week” and everyone thinks its a hint to the team name. Weird. Especially since Detroit does the squid thing so it’s weird they chose something that’s already down by a franchise.

With the color scheme that's been posted to their site l will be shocked if they aren't the Sockeyes

 

pretty much the same. i've seen people using the current colors for some of the other possible names and logos (Metros, Pilots, Kraken, Mountaineers, etc.) and it does seem to work best with the Sockeyes name and logo.

*note: idgaf what the name or colors are. that's my team, gonna love it either way. go Seattle CrapWeasels!
