This trade doesn't seem to make sense for anybody.

it definitely makes sense for the Blues because they need space to re-sign Pietrangelo

 

It doesn't really make sense for Montreal that's for sure.

Although it's gonna suck for the Blues when Andrew Hammond II: Electric Boogaloo flames out of the league in the next couple years

 

do you think that Dunn gets traded to clear more space?

myself and a few other Devils fans would love to have him

 

Would be the first time the Habs have a capable backup in years, and they have the cap space.

 

I think it’ll be Bozak who moves next. That should be enough to keep Pietrangelo, then the following season I would think they’ll try to get Seattle to take Faulk and if that doesn’t happen Dunn’s probably the odd man out because then we have to re-sign Parayko and Schwartz.

 

@xbrokendownx I feel like this is like the third off season in a row you've asked me about Dunn's availability haha

 

NJ needs immediate help on defense, especially LHD and since there a bunch of teams that are up against the cap (TB, STL, ARI, etc.) I figured maybe we can snag a decent player....especially considering we have three first round picks

like, I would move the ARI or VAN 1st for Dunn and Bozak which would clear more than enough room for ya'll

They signed Husso to a 2 year 1 way deal in January and he has been our AHL #1 for so many years that it's basically time for them to give him an honest shot. Plus 750K for a backup gives them the space to try to re-sign Petro. Still have to lose Bozak or someone else though. Steen and Faulk contracts are killing the Blues right now.

 

Michael Hutchinson?? This guy is still in the league?
