We have a ton of prospects for deadline moves

 

I like that trade. Faulk was good but defense is already stacked and it was time for something new. And I like that prospect we get.

 

As a Blues fan, I like this trade, Eddy was fighting for a spot in the line-up last year...

 

Faulk will definitely score points but he is putrid defensively

Pietro has played off his natural side regularly in his time with us.

 

My take away is I like it for this year and moving forward its likely Pietrangelo insurance. Our PP is ass and he should help.

If you can re-sign Pietro (which there should be money), then Faulk doesn't get protected in the expansion draft and likely is on Seattle since no NMC and likely why the first two years of this are $9M front loaded. They're not protecting him over Pietro/Parayko/Dunn.

 

Happy with the trade because Carolina could absolutely not give Faulk that contract. Edmundson is a weird add but it gets them under the cap and they have enough guys who can move the puck. Moving Faulk off the top power play unit is the biggest gain from this trade. Their power play runs through him every year and it's always hot garbage even if he accumulates a lot of stats. I am glad that he got to be with the team for their playoff run, though. He was the team's best player through some awful seasons and always took most of the blame.

I thought this was a weird trade from St. Louis' point of view even if they didn't give up a much, but the Petro situation makes a little more sense. It's a moveable deal since it's back-loaded.

 

FWIW, Faulk had arguably his best defensive year last year, as someone who has watched him his whole career so far.

Something important for St. Louis fans to understand is that in the case of Faulk, offensive defenseman absolutely does not mean puck moving defenseman. His offensive prowess begins and ends with hugs explosive shot. Expecting any kind of offensive playmaking from him will end in disappointment, he should only be used as a trigger man on the PP.

The article on ESPN says specifically that the officer said that Matthews left his underwear up when he “grabbed his buttcheeks” (not sure what The Star article says outside of the first paragraph where it only says he dropped his pants which immediately imo makes you think he’s bare ass). So while fucking stupid and dumb at least not... super gross...? For some reason it makes me picture Bart Simpson or something.

Edit: The Star article does point out that his underwear is up but pants are around his ankles.

Who gives a shit if the cop spells wrong in the report? I mean it’s a little concerning since that person holds a firearm and whatnot, but that’s not at all the point of this story lol
