I mean, I guess. But in three years as a starter, He's won four road games (including an OOC game @Wyoming). With a lack of overcoming adversity unless it's a picture perfect scenario at home, I'd be nervous hitching my wagon to him. But hopefully the Colts do it and it works out.

He seems like a great kid. I just am not very confident in him panning out at the next level.

They've recruited plenty of 4* WRs over Herbert's tenure. This is a coaching and development issue. They've always had talent (of course it dipped a little bit between Kelly and Cristobal) but they've always had talent...just no one to develop it.

 

He's still a great receiver and is a free agent after the year. I wouldn't even label him as injury prone, so, pending how this season goes, I think he can get a solid contract and go to a contending team.

 

Idk about all that it's just very apparent their receivers for the last 3yrs have absolutely sucked, they just got a new wr coach right? Idk if that will change much. Dillon Mitchell was the only receiver that was anywhere close to decent for his entire tenure. Their receivers are so bad that last night they were splitting out tight ends wide and throwing it to them instead. Seems like a bad problem to have lol they also missed out on a handful of WRs (who initially were coming) last season when taggart dipped so it's probably not completely on the new regime.

I'm also not saying it's not a little bit on Herbert too, it's just indicative that he's not a talent that can make a zack paschal look good haha at this point he's just trying not to throw picks so he doesn't fall too far in the draft. Maybe one of the reasons he was able to beat the huskies on that clutch play is that it was obvious they weren't making a title game let alone the championship game and he'll be looser from here on out for the season.

It's just a bummer to watch from a talent perspective. Last year I thought from a very optimistic take, maybe there will be 5 very good teams in the pac12 but nope still just the huskies and utah lol

 

He's going to be 32 next season, he tore his hamstring the season before last and missed 6 games. He reinjured his toe again last year (after he missed 3 games from it a few years ago) and missed 7 games, they almost put him on IR so there is a chance he doesn't play until week 6 or later this year. You don't think this is going to only get worse?

 

Work ethic I guess, but he showed up on game days so as fans it was hard to see why they’d just give him away
