I like the Jags this year and think they’re as in it as anyone this year, but to try to take the preseason throne after not even beating out the Blaine Gabbert Titans last year is a little premature.

I’m not convinced the Texans and Colts are down and out, but if they are, the Titans are definitely the team that would take the de facto “best team on paper”

Well, no touchdowns were scored in that game at all, obviously it was a defensive battle and Bortles will always do worse than the other QB in those games. I definitely think Foles, Jawaan Taylor, and a hopefully back-in-form Cam Robinson at least elevates us above THAT point.

But if you wanna take head to head low-blows I could easily remind you this is also the team that shut out the Andrew Luck Colts.

I actually think the Titans roster has all the same problems ours does. No good WR, one dimensional passing attack, a below average QB, great on defense and offensive line but both are too aggressive and it makes them inconsistent, etc.

They have better tight ends but we have the better defense and running back and I am not budging on that point. Even if they motherfucking sweep us again cause the Jags are cursed against the Titans, they will not perform better around the league.

 

People have been dunking on the Texans practically all offseason. Where have you been?

Picking the Jags to win the division is a defensible position. There’s definitely a clear path for them to do so, especially as the Colts and Texans start shedding key players before the season starts

Declaring the Jags the clear team to beat and grumbling about the disrespect is less so. They went 5-11 last year with largely the same team. The new QB is (probably) better than Bortles but still has his own set of questions. They gotta prove it

 

The Titans are the best roster in the division. But they're also the titans so they could easily finish last despite this.

 

Also - my GOD Houston. That transcends terrible. I just feel bad.

The Texans could be granted special permission to play 12 players and have Martin and Mingo on the field at the same time and still they wouldnt have close to the same impact as Clowney
