I have always been a big fan of Duke Johnson. They never really knew how to use him in CLE except for maybe one season. Texans didn't overpay, the guy is talented and will fit right in with that team.

 

Idk Howard seems like that guy who has one good season before teams had film on him; but ultimately he’s just not that fast or creative. And he’s not powerful like Michael Turner either so I’m not even sure I like Jordan Howard as a weapon.

Duke has steadily improved.

Howard has actually been pretty consistent and was traded because they had no plans to re-sign him.

 

His numbers and efficiency literally dropped every year he’s played

Seems like the instant his first direct deposit hit (not the ones from Ole Miss), he completely mailed it in.

 

I am sure they signed him for close to league minimum

He was always like that, they took him based on potential and it was a horrible pick.

 

Thanks man. I’ve been in and out of the thread. I’ve been involved in a lot of the city and state discussions, some of the food discussions, and a lot of the draft stuff over the years. My posting over the year or so has declined due to my job and life, but I try to jump in where I can, as a not annoying Browns fan.

His numbers aren't bad though, giving up a 5th round pick for that production is a steal. The Bears prefered Cohen.

 

I’m not a huge Jordan Howard fan, nor am I a big Duke Johnson hater, but I’m not sure how you look at these two guys’ bodies of work and roles in the offense and conclude that Duke is not only better, but worth a 2 round draft pick premium

 

I love Nyheim Hines but would be disappointed if it leaked that Ballard turned down a 2020 3rd for him, especially if they were in the position of having too many RBs on the roster

I’ll take it with a grain of salt since his agent is obviously going to defend him, but if he appeals it and the truth comes out that he’s right... damn. Pretty shitty.
