No teams are ever at full strength. We had plenty of players hurt and/or missing during those games as well.

 

We had 3rd string corners that game and barely a running game. Not to mention a lot of shit happened to go your way in the second game.

 

If only I actually cared to believe that because Team A won the division they must be better than Team B

 

I'm going to back dino on the fact that the market dictates what players make and not necessarily their skill level. It might be funny that Dak will make all this money, but it's just his turn.

What about the downside of not signing Dak? And having to move forward with someone worse and not being competitive?

True. But we were missing our All-Pro anchor of our offensive line all of last season and still overcame it. It’s arguable that your team has more talent than ours and with better coaching but we still beat y’all and won the division.

 

Has he had players to elevate until Cooper, who he immediately elevated?

 

Amari Cooper is arguably tremendously better with Dak

But honestly who cares, the Cowboys roster is very good and has a lot of depth and when you're in that scenario you retain the QB so you don't have to waste the roster like the Texans did, they're in a legit window with their young talent

Cooper played pretty much the exact same way he did in Oakland; inconsistently

 

He was far and away better in Dallas last year.

 

I mean that's cool, but your record still indicated that you were pretty medicore. If that's all you have to hang your hat on because your team hasn't sniffed much success in so many years than do you.

 

This is pretty much where I’m sitting. We’re legit in a Super Bowl window right now and there is no other QB or WR that could be afforded with less money than what we’re offering them that would be as good or better. Or anywhere near as close, imo

 

10-6 is mediocre? Winning the division and a playoff game is mediocre?

I laugh that you all are arguing whether or not Dak deserves a big contract and I'm over here like wow the Steelers are going to give Mason Rudolph a second contract without him playing any important minutes of football.
