Into The Spider-verse is a top tier movie.

I watch it all the time.

 

I've heard a ton of pretty amazing praise about it and I am interested, but I'm (for the most part) not huge on animated movies.

 

Logan wasnt even that good.

 

No xmen movie has been good and the fact that they can't get cyclops right bothers me so much

I forgot Logan. It’s really good but too thematically inconsistent with itself for me to put it on the same level as the three I posit as the top of the genre (+ the Dark Knight, which I also forgot about but which is also good)

 

Regardless of the movie, if it hits me emotionally multiple times, I have to give it credit. It's probably because I think Hugh Jackman and Patrick Stewart are incredible actors, but I adored their performances in Logan. It just sucked me in and put me through the ringer.

 

It's funny, I always forget the Dark Knight trilogy because I almost don't even consider them comic book movies, haha

I think sometimes some people overrate the Dark Knight, which is great but has some issues. Batman Begins is solid and the Dark Knight Rises is not great

Modern live action superhero movies are like 75% animated

 

Yeah, to be clear, I'd say they're better than any MCU movie but I'd put Logan above any of the Dark Knight trilogy.

 

My comic book movie take is that there is no comic book movie that I feel passionately enough to have a take about

 

I’m just waiting for the MCU to get to the new generation of marvel heroes because they are the best.

 

Yeah, they're largely forgettable.

 

MCU does the best job of churning out movies where you leave and think “yeah ok, that was a perfectly decent movie” and don’t think about it again until the next one comes out and you see that one too

Can we talk about of all the dumb things Draft Day does....the biggest has to be trying to warp the Space-Time Continuum. The Browns owner walks out of Radio City and says "I will be in his face in one hour." Cleveland is a 2-hour flight + the drive to the airport + the drive FROM the airport.

 

Sure, but there's a difference between an animated movie and a live action movie with tons of animation added to it.

I almost never connect emotionally to animated characters.

 

You're literally the only person on the planet who watched that movie. And that's including the director and Kevin Costner.
