remember last year when Arizona fired their coach after one year and all the media lost their marbles about trust and not giving things any time and now here is Cleveland doing the same thing a year later.

 

Kitchens was worse than Wilkes

 

i wasn't paying close enough attention to either to have an opinion, i guess i'm more or less suspecting that the outrage that firing a coach after 1 year brought last year is long gone which means we may see more teams making quicker decisions going forward than we did in the past (aside from the Jaguars of course)

Can you tell me with a straight face that Eason is a clearly better option than Minshew?

At the very least Minshew buys us time to draft a better quarterback now that our options are, draft Eason / Love / Fromm with a pick that could get a stud, or trade up for a guy who had a huge injury in his draft year

 

No team does that though. Unfortunately. They’re gonna be like “well the team got to the playoffs, so...”

 

I don’t think there are many other QBs in the league who could do what Wentz did this year

I think Washington would be silly not to trade down if the opportunity presents itself because they have like 15 needs and pass rusher is near the bottom of that list and they traded away their second rounder last draft so this is the only major draft piece they have to work with

 

They might be looking for a gm soon, that may or may not matter

 

The Jaguars actually wouldn’t have picked 5th because they have the SOS tiebreaker over the Dolphins.

The Bills interviewed him, hired Rex Ryan and then DIDN'T interview him again when they hired McDermott because they didn't hit it off with Shanahan the first time. I don't hate McDermott (anymore) but I would have liked a more forward thinking coach. It's too bad my team is owned by a yokel who got lucky to strike it rich with fracking and can be sold on any clown who butters him up the right way

 

Also, shocked that it's a flat out firing and Allen didn't get to put out a statement and make it look like he was resigning or retiring. Either way, fuck that asshole.

 

Ron and Wilks taking over that defense with Chase Young and Foster coming back has me so excited. No more dropping pass rushers into coverage hopefully.
