Gary is a workout machine, but on field I just haven't seen anything that impressive from him

I kept meaning to post this. Oakman's a guy I was really interested in for the Browns back in 2016. He was likely to be a 2nd rounder. I hope he works to make it in the NFL. He'd be a good 3-4 end, especially for teams that need help defending the run.

Just as a background, he was a freak. Being 6'8" and 287 lbs. at the combine, he ran a 4.96 and a 10' 3" broad jump. I hope they'll put together a solid work out to see where's he's at 3 years later.

False accusers should get the same penalty as someone that actually committed the crime

If that penalty is "absolutely nothing" which is what the majority of people who commit the crime get, then yeah sure

But women have enough reasons to be mortified to testify and accuse the persons who brought them harm, we don't need to add on more

 

Also, nowhere in the story is it confirmed that this was a false accusation. He was found not guilty, which doesn’t mean he didn’t do it. I’m not saying he did do it, but “not guilty” isn’t the same as “didn’t do it”. His defense was that the sex was consensual. She maintains that it wasn’t. And just like the majority of rape cases, the jury sided with the accused.

False accusations are horrible. They are also statistically extremely rare. So many survivors don’t come forward or go to court because of the overwhelming uphill battle they face in even getting heard, let alone justice. Adding severe punishment to those who “accuse falsely” (again in this indication the case went to court, he was found not guilty, which is not the same thing as a false accusation) only continues to harm survivors.

so I just watched the Antonio Brown interview. He basically says that he is going to do things "on his terms" and he doesnt even have to play football

lol dude, it don't work that way. You can't just do or say whatever you want.

 

I kind of feel like Brown is destined for the Raiders since he's rocking the Hollywood Hogan look.

I was a big big AB fan ever since he decided to take a big ol’ dump on the Steelers but I’m kinda over him now. Go away.

Man, I hate the Redskins because they're our rivals, I hope we keep beating them, etc... but goddamn you gotta feel bad for the fans. Looking at the last 10-ish years at their QB position and they helped ruin one gold star prospect, lucked out with a pretty good quarterback in that same draft only to not pay him market value and let him leave, then the aging-but-still-good quarterback comes in and breaks his leg on the same yard line on the same down play on the anniversary of your last major quarterback injury to the same leg, and now people are saying that McCoy and maybe Rosen is their savior?

Phew..... Talk about a ROUGH team to cheer for.
