So either a two month window to include the draft, free agency, camp, and preseason. Or they space it out longer and we are looking at a mid Jan or Feb start...

If it stretches that long just cancel the damn thing. I would much prefer a cancel or the abbreviated playoff ideas than guaranteeing an asterisk season two years in a row. Not to mention they would still need to figure out how to adjust the start of the third season to get back in the track they want, whether it’s the current fall start or a move to Christmas.

I understand all the hesitation to start the season back up but I have to say I'm super excited for basketball to be back and cannot wait to see some of these changes take effect.

I wish 1st round picks pulled out to play elsewhere, messed up that these dudes have to wait 4-5 more months and aren’t being paid a dime during a pandemic.

My stance hasn’t changed since March. Cancel the fucking season. Taking four+ months off and trying to resume when everything must go perfectly is beyond absurd. As soon as ONE affiliate of the NBA tests positive for COVID-19, it’s all gonna go on pause again anyway.

i'm guessing that they come back with the 22 teams, play a couple regular season games, and then have the play in for the 8th seed to try and get zion in.

according to shams, the play in would only happen if the 9 seed is 4 or less games back from the 8... and it would be single elimination for the 9 seed, double elimination for the 8.

 

regular season would be 8 games.

 

god the playoffs are gonna be so sloppy this year haha
