Good vet for the playoffs for the younger guys on that team.

Regardless of how good they look, youth will be an issue for them in the playoffs.

a decent point, for sure. idk. i still feel like winslow, when reaching potential, can be an effective starter and contributor. iggy, at best, is a dude that does fine in 15mpg.

thats probably true but i think right now miami is focused on increasing our experience and options for the postseason, so the trade aligns itself with our immediate goals. the specifics of iggys deal and getting rid of winslow’s contract also aligns itself with our long term goal of making a splash in 2021. i think thats why you see heat fans who are happy about a deal that on the surface just looks like trading a kid with upside for a past his prime veteran.

yeah. as a whole, i think 2021's class is a bit overblown. sure, some of the contracts will be "up," but, imo, Beal will be the best player actually available in FA. and, like, he definitely would be exciting for the heat. but it isn't giannis. it isn't kawhi or PG either.

If those two and Winslow are being traded away, that would be enough to take on Gallo and Iggy’s contracts for this season I believe.
