As someone more used to baseball contracts it's weird to me that they include the team option year when they report the total years lol

although the rumors of Gallo are worrying. if taking on Iggy is the price they needed to pay to upgrade from Winslow to Gallo and make the money work, that makes a lot of sense for them and they got actively better. if it's just winslow for iggy, yeesh.

 

we traded a guy who played 11 games for us this year for a former all star who could fill a defensive hole and who may or may not be washed, and in the case he is we can move on from him at the perfect time. we also have a coaching staff that will presumably know how to manage him if he is bringing us down. dont see how this makes us worse.

 

tbf Winslow has barely played more than Iggy this year lmao

If I was a Heat fan, I'd only be worried about a steep decline from Iggy but I guess we'll find out soon

 

Also, Winslow has only played once in the past month.

 

I love Winslow's upside, great trade for us

 

just seems to me like we’re adding an option to our rotation for someone who was barely in our rotation. seems like a good move to me.

 

Iggy might not be that great on offense, but I think his perimeter defense/experience could help a bit during the playoffs.

 

It’s also one less contract on the books for 21-22 so we can make a move for a big free agent next summer.
