Glad OKC is selling off everyone so they can get a fresh start in Seattle next season

 

I wanna see Westbrook get traded to a dumpster fire because fuck him.

 

Crazy that Thunder were in the Finals in 2012 with KD Russ and Harden and for 7 years it’s been one steady decline.

 

Give me those Supersonic unis.

 

Why do people hate Westbrook so much? He’s a basketball who plays hard and is egotistical (like most of them)

 

I don't really strongly dislike him as much as I just think his play is not worth his contract with the Thunder at this point and him feuding with Damian Lillard who is infinitely more likeable does not help his case

 

Honestly for me its he's more about himself than the team.

 

I find it amazing that Presti has kept his job this long. I mean he hasn't done a terrible job, but damn, he really messed this whole thing up.

 

I'm obviously a Sixers fan but I think I wanna adopt a western conference team this year to follow.

 

I think it's just because he's had so much individual success without much team success. He drove Durant out of town. Put up unbelievable numbers (but wasn't very influential in terms of wins/losses or playoff success)

He's also now been named MVP and there are a lot of accolades thrown at him for his triple double averages but still never ended up taking the team very far. He was seen as a stat chaser to most fans for the last couple of years as well I believe.

I personally don't mind the guy but all comes down to expectations vs results. He's got a monster contract, MVP award, All Star game awards but still can't really compete in the western conference. Now PG is gone too. I still think he's a talented player but comes with a lot of red flags

His contract is huge and will start to lose a lot of his athleticism which he has historically relied on to put up his numbers. Curious to see who ends up taking him

 

I don't hate him, but he acts like an asshole to basically everyone in the media (which I guess is understandable sometimes), but it just seems like doesn't like anyone.

 

For the record I have no problem with a player looking out for himself and his personal success over the team's. I just wouldn't want that player to be on the team I like.

 

Understandable. I agree he comes off as an asshole out for just himself. Seems like a lot of unnecessary vitriol though. Didn’t know if he did something bad or came out saying something stupid.

 

I still remember the narrative that year: “this team is super young and they will only go up from here”

I will die on Russ deserved that MVP hill,
That team was an absolute fucking disastrous tire fire on top of a train wreck when he was off the court, and a playoff team when he was on. The numbers back it up and then some, he was the most valuable by a country mile.

Personally I love guys that play like him and I wish we had more in the league but that's one man's opinion

 

Surely Rodney hood will be able to stop Jerami grant in the paint

 

Wooo great pickup with Grant, he'll get a lot of minutes in the regular season while we probably try to limit Millsap's minutes to keep him healthy for the playoffs, and he'll take over as the long term PF next year

 

It's pretty crazy to think that Presti drafted those three, and all they ended up with was Russ.

Please, no. Yes, Orlando has point guard questions, but I'd take Augustin/Fultz/MCW over him any day of the week. He's selfish, inefficient, and very expensive. Not to mention that his game is going to age very poorly as his athleticism dissipates.
