i'm not understanding why it matters that they 'cleared it' with other teams .... this happened in their backyard. this impacts THEIR OWN fans. if anyone should be taking the charge on this, it's the Bucks. god forbid something like this happen in Akron, is lebron really going to send a memo out to the league before speaking up or taking some kind of action?

maybe i'm missing the point but that specific argument seems so dumb right now.

 

I'll play counterpoint on this just because I think it's a good discussion, though I agree with you.

Because they made a decision for the league without talking to the rest of the league. It forced a lot of hands that very well may have been on board anyway, but were unprepared. The Bucks should've told some players, and asked to make the statement. That should've been it. Instead of "the Bucks boycott" they could've held a press conference and used the word strike.

It was just a disorganized way to start something that is going to have to be very organized to work.
