Seattle didn't "Miss out" on Sherman. They missed out on their window of competition.

News updates that Jax has not stopped trying to negotiate with ARob. Both Caldwell and Coughlin confirmed they're fighting for him, and aren't just gonna walk away like they have with other free agents who asked more than they wanted to pay.

Him and his agent were probably waiting to see ballpark offers from other teams before making any compromises with our front office. No reason to sacrifice if he can go for gold on another contender, but if other teams are also skeptical due to his 2016 slump and 2017 injury maybe his price isn't as high as he thinks.

Coughlin said the words "we are battling but it takes two to tango" which indicates theyve sent out more than one offer but ARob's camp won't budge

The best news from this is, the Rams play the Raiders next year. So we’ll still get another Talib vs Crabtree game

I do find it pretty odd the Jags have been silent about Lee and Hurns as well. They have the same exact window of time basically before Lee walks and before Hurns's 7 million becomes fully guaranteed. I'm sure its a shoe waiting for another shoe to drop, id be shocked if it wasn't related to them trying to keep ARob first

Yeah I hope if they keep ARob they dump Lee and Hurns, throw Hurns money at Watkins on a prove it seal, and call it a day with the receivers. Maybe a year or two for John Brown if he's cheap??

If the Browns take Barkley I think they could win 7-8 games. They already have an outstanding o line, they have a pretty good and a potentially outstanding WR corps and they have a QB right now that can actually play good football until the guy they draft is ready.

Nah, this is the year you guys draft a good DB. I feel it.

How is your team so good at convincing people to overpay for bad QBs lol

Even just keeping ARob and then drafting a WR somewhere would work for me. Add some competition so that Cole has to prove himself rather than defaulting as the WR2. Watkins is a luxury but I cant imagine they'll chase another costly WR if it's this hard to sign ARob already

I'm down with that too. I'd like to see Norwell and Fleming but Norwell will be too costly too unless they front load the bejesus out of it. Either way, that was our weakest spot last year so I'm fine overpaying to fix it and fit our window.

I usually figure out who i want to sign early on and stick to it. I want ARob and Norwell. If we gotta cut Hurns and let Lee & Colvin walk to make that happen lets do it. Watkins would seem like an obstacle in the way of two better signings. I bolster that line well before I pay two WRs 8 figures.

Eh, we have the space for Norwell now. Cut Hurns and you've got Watkins.

Didn't the Giants say they would move drc to safety less than a week ago?

Derwin's probably not a top 5 pick and he looks more like a strong safety anyways. Peppers is a better fit at strong safety, so I highly doubt he ends up here. Fitzpatrick is definitely an option at 4 though. Either way, a QB will be at #1 or #4 though.

He's looking to buy a team from a guy surrounded by scandals so you compare him to...a guy currently surrounded by scandals.
