That feels to me me like he's not gonna be the same again, otherwise he wouldn't wanna play in that division against the Seahawks twice a year

I'm not about to drop 11-13 AAV on another corner before we've even resigned Ramsey lol. We have the number one young CB in the league, arguably already the best in the league period, hes my priority

Hes not overrated but hes also not worth what hes asking at his age coming off injury

I think hes rated fairly, but that paying 30 year old used to be shutdown corners stupid money is usually a bad idea haha

 

You just called him a top five corner, that's definitely overrating him.
I also don't know where you're getting stupid money from.

 

His cap hit this year was gonna be 13.2 MIL. I don't presume he'll be asking for substantially less when his play hasn't really fallen off much on tape yet. Sherman's game has always been more mental than athletic.

The stats back up him being a top 5 corner. Sure that doesn't mean he will continue to play that way. But credit where its due.

In my mind other than the Jags corners, Xavier Rhodes, Casey Hayward and Marcus Peters are up there also. Maybe Sherman is number 6. Id put Patrick Pete right after him followed by Desmond Trufant and Jason Verrett.

Who else am I forgetting on the spot? I thought Marshon Lattimore played excellently and might be bottom top 10 after Verrett... I wouldn't put Kyle Fuller or Jimmy Smith in that tier personally, etc

 

Browns fan here. Really excited about this season with Taylor and Landry.

However, I can't seem to understand how people think these trades solidify Barkley at #1 overall. If anything, I am thinking the exact opposite. Taylor is a perfect bridge QB for this upcoming season. The Browns will still go out and draft their guy (QB) at first overall.

And hopefully it's Mayfield.

 

Anyway I think a team with bad CBs should definitely pay Sherman if they have excess cap space, and even though its an overpay hed still help the team more than almost anyone they could draft for a few years. But if you have young, good CBS, avoid.
