The crazy thing is: What if Cousins seems drawn to the Browns? The one reason I say this is that he is really close to his dad. His whole family too, but I mention his dad due to his past cancer struggles that were highlighted on ESPN. In Cleveland, it makes it easier for his dad to make it to the home games because we're about 4.5 hours from his hometown. I know we have Hue, but this roster could be impressive if we land Barkley at the top, Fitzpatrick/Chubb at #4 (or trade) and further develop this young, athletic team.

The Browns just need to demote Hue to OC and get literally anybody else as HC and they might be okay

 

What’s so hard to understand?

Outgoing: a guy who was going to have to battle in camp to keep his roster spot. A guy who was benched in games throughout the season. A guy who was constantly getting burned or called for pass interference. If he goes on to play well in Philly then good for him. But he wasn’t getting it done here and was in the doghouse. Worley is currrently less valuable than any draft pick (no one would’ve given us ANY pick for him).

Incoming: a guy who clearly has underperformed his current contract. On paper, he possesses the skill set that the Panthers are looking for. And while he is currently not living up to his contract, he did earn that type of contract in previous years. Speaking of the contract, I don’t think it’s as crazy as people make it out to be. $5 mil per season in today’s market is not a lot of money. Despite his recent poor play he would not get much less than that on the open market. If he can put up 500-600 yards this year then he’s worth the contract. If he fails to do that then we can get out of the deal next offseason. It’s not a huge risk.
