Mathieu is not that good anymore. He could be an elite compliment or an okay starter. That's why he should go to the Jags or the Chiefs or the Rams.

 

And tbh it sounds like Mathieu is making the rounds, who knows where he will end up. Hd probably has at least 12 teams to potentially visit

It would hardly be shocking to see him re establish himself as a top DB in the league. Arizona plummeted and he missed some time. Only natural that his performance dipped. He's still young enough to bounce back

 

Our CB tandem would definitely not be Colvin+Mathieu on the outside and I'm not sure if that makes it better or worse

Either way I don't care, give Mathieu a 20 year deal. I'll take us potentially being weak at corner to have my favorite player retire as a Texan

All I know is Mathieu would be perfect for the Jags.

 

Pro bowler no. Favorable scheme for him though, throwing-wise that's fair rhetoric at least.

He still needs to pay attention to drop backs though. That scheme doesn't have a lot of 3 step so its not as tough on footwork as a WCO or Air Coryell, but theres a lot more specific 5 and 7 step timing involved in the deep throws than you would think
