So if we took Gesicki wed just have two awesome tight ends right now while we nave no receivers, buys us time to draft some more (including hopefully a real WR1 in 2019), and then ASJ walks when its time to sign our young defenders. Lee is cuttable and Hurns is off the books by then too.

Him and trading up slightly for McGlinchey are neck and neck as my top options. DJ Moore is my next best option.

 

I don't think it's slightly. Assuming Buffalo trades up, NYG/IND is a lock for McGlinchey. Gesicki is still my number one, Chark and Moore tied for number two.

 

There's honestly no way Chark is as good as Moore imo. Been watching more tape. Moore really knows what hes doing. I agree with @Swoos

And hes familiar with Keenan McCardell's coaching so theres that. Stefon Diggs may not be the only one who outplayed Maryland's offense's talent level with help from McC's tutelage. That would be a sweet reunion.

Yikes. Although it looks more like a 3 or 4 year deal to me, as all the breakdowns I have seen do not mention any guaranteed salary for 2021 or 2022, only 2018-20. If that's true, they should be able to cut bait after 2020 if needed for $5.2 mil dead cap and around a $5.6 mil savings.

If they both want "too much money" go with Mathieu. Id rather pay him 11M per than pay Crabtree like 14

Yeah but I love Mathieus value as both a nickel corner who can blitz / play the run and a move safety who creates turnovers. He shrinks our depth needs in the secondary quite a bit and could take over for Gipson whenever we cut him / drafted another nickel CB

Round 1 - Gesicki, Moore, or McG
Round 2 - the best second round weapon we can find. If we took Gesicki or Moore id also be fine with taking a pass rusher as a backup plan for Fowler

Id be thrilled with that off-season honestly. Mathieu would more than make up for losing ARob. And then we either complete our line or draft a weapon with long term starter potential
