I think Giannis is the MVP.

And really, I don't think there is much of an argument for Harden over Giannis. If I were a Harden stan, my anger would be directed to 2016-2017 where I think there was a solid (and for me, a persuasive) argument for Harden over Russ.

if it were just comparing the offensive numbers, i get the argument for harden. giannis is having a pretty open and shut case for being a top 5 offensive player and the best defensive player in the league this season. he deserves to win in a landslide.

I have no issue with Giannis winning and he probably deserves it, however I do believe if another player had the same offensive numbers and his team finished about the same as the rockets then he would win MVP.

  6. I mean Giannis' numbers would have been even bigger if the Bucks had to struggle for the 4th seed - he only played 32 mpg

I agree. Harden's scoring has been pretty incredible, especially when Paul was out. But, Giannis has been just as impressive offensively, especially when you consider he plays fewer minutes and is less of a threat from outside. Throw in his legitimate DPoY candidacy, and I think it's a pretty easy choice.

Also the Rockets started off a bad team. They were 11-14 with a healthy squad. Harden went bonkers getting them out of that hole but he still played a part in digging it for almost a third of the season

Giannis and Harden with the same record would be a close call

Bucks blowing by the East makes it a no brainer.

MVP should be best player on the best team. Harden should have won over Westbrook still.
