Spurs winning the series would be not shocking

 

Besides LeBron returning to Cleveland (and maybe his first year in Miami) is Denver going from 9th place last year to 2nd this year one of the biggest jumps ever?

 

One of the biggest recent ones, though the Sixers went from 14th in the East to 3rd between the '16/'17 and '17/'18 seasons.

Obviously the Raptors are good and I’m sure they’re going to be fine, but when the team and the fanbase spend every single regular season railing against media and other fans for not giving them any attention for being Actually Very Good, you’re gonna have to deal with the memes and doubts about them until they stop shitting their shorts every postseason and earn the respect they spend six months a year begging for

 

This could also be about the Bucks this season.

 

Could it? The Bucks were average every season under Kidd and never played in any postseason series where they were favored or had more talent. Maybe talent was close against Boston last year but, you know, Prunty. They just had a historically great season yet every smart media member I’ve heard giving their postseason thoughts has still had some hold ups about them until they can win one series.

Whereas the Raptors have had great regular seasons every year with roughly the same core and then always forget to show up to start a series. Taking a Game 1 against the Wizards doesn’t earn them many favors there. Now they’ve upgraded both that core and their coach, and still couldn’t win their first game at home against what should’ve been a lottery team.

Again, I like the Raptors, it’s just very silly to watch their fans on Twitter and Reddit etc etc go off about the disrespect all season and then defend showings like they had last night

 

This was funny. Especially the KD decided to "bark" back after bodying Beverly to the ground.

 

Will Lowry ever be good in the playoffs?

 

Wasn’t Lowry pretty solid in the playoffs last year? He averaged 17 and 8 on 50/44/81 shooting. From what I remember Derozan was the one that struggled.

 

He was awful yesterday, made dj augustin look like the longhorn version of himself

 

I've had a bad morning and that's the first thing I saw in the thread so I kind of exploded. It was out of line. Bucks fans have been crying disrespect all season though. Of all the franchises, they have the least grounds to talk shit. That was my point.

I never defended their performance either. Trashing Kawhi for softness is stupid though. Make fun of Lowry's 0 points or whatever but Kawhi was the reason we almost won.

Yep. It wasn't his only good playoffs either. People only remember the bad ones though. They don't know that he's played injured. They base their takes on Twitter and out of context stats.

He deserves the criticism for his shooting though.

 

Brad Stevens looks like Pete Buttigieg and this is the only opinion I have on this game
