I can't see Paul George going back to okc, I think he still maybe goes home to LA even without lebron and the lakers keep acquiring more assets till they can trade for someone. Also probably want to see what you can get for Ball on the market because that could help speed it up.

It definitely makes sense from a spurs standpoint, pop wants to win now so I'm not sure why he would be okay to create another super team in the same conference as him because it would really hurt his chances at another title.

  2. I also have a sneaking suspicion that Danny is not especially eager to grab Kawhi, given his injury situation and questions about whether he'd re-sign. It wouldn't be shocking to me if Danny's bidding on Kawhi is mostly just to drive up the price for Philly (and LA to a lesser extent), with the thought that if Kawhi falls into his lap for a underpay, he'd pull the trigger, but not otherwise.

This makes sense. Especially considering the health/contract situations with his own team. Kyrie can't stay healthy and he can leave next year as well. Hayward coming off a gruesome broken leg so you don't know how he'll respond, so there's no point of trading your young guys (Brown/Taytum) and assets for another guy coming off a significant injury who can also leave in a year.

Apparently, it's going to be the first clue according to another beat writer. Which makes me think it's either Ryan Anderson or Luol Deng.

Edit: Could be Kevin Love too.

  7. I could see the Suns going for Kemba

i could see randle playing into the kawhi sweepstakes. a wink wink sign and trade that is a favorable deal for san antonio could save kuzma for the lakers. ingram + randle + lonzo for kawhi would get it done

If you're referring to the 'first clue' tweet by Matt Baker...that's a close friend of mine, and I assure you he has no clue what he's talking about and is not in the media, haha. I know Tim Tompkins retweeted it, which is really irresponsible because Matt is an absolute nobody.

I play basketball with Matt three times a week and he owns my wife's salon building...he's an idiot. Last week he was convinced - and was telling everyone - that Cavs were trading No. 8 pick and JR to Charlotte for Kemba.

He did go to school with Joe Vardon (covers Cavs for cleveland.com) and I know they talk, but I don't think Joe gives him too many details (Matt has told me as much).

Is he good on the court at least?

Kevin Love in a Suns jersey would be pretty sweet.

He was really bad - and out of shape - when he first started playing with us about 5 years ago...he's more of a rebounding/big guy/plays down low type. He's OK now. Can't shoot at all, but plays smart.

Wouldn't be my first pick tbh

Well Paul George isn't that good, that's my reasonable reaction

  25. I think that’s too hot of a take for me. Paul George is very good. Playing next to Melo and Westbrook isn’t the easiest thing in the world.
