I also liked Above the Rim when I was a kid, but would probably find it laughably bad if I watched it today.

 

There is also Finding Forrester and Love & Basketball. Haven't seen either in a really long time though. Coach Carter also in there. But I think I agree with Entry Level's point to a degree. I would take baseball and hockey over basketball movies. I would probably take basketball over football though off the top of my head.

 

No chance. Remember The Titans is a top 8 sports movie easy.

 

My guilty pleasure is The Replacements.

 

Also a sneaky great football movie. Keanu Reeves as sports Jesus is always a hit.

 

Can’t forget about He Got Game, Hoosiers, and White Men Can’t Jump.

But my favorite sports movie of all time? Grind lol.

Oh yeah, The Air Up There with Kevin Bacon is good too.

Air Bud is the greatest premise for a movie ever. I don't care what anyone says.

 

We are Marshall is absolutely fantastic. Beyond depressing though.

One of my favourite movies as a kid was Glory Road, even if looking back, a film focusing mostly on the 1966 Texas Miners players would be more interesting than the one we got that focused on the White Saviour Don Haskins.
