OMG now i'm reading the game synopsis. MJ hit a potential game winner with 4.8 to go in overtime, and jermaine o'neal fouled kobe while he was shooting a 3. he hit 2/3 to tie the game. i cant believe i dont remember that.

I get what the Cavs are doing, but I just disagree with what they are doing.

In addition to the roster strategy moving forward, factoring in this year at age 30 and next at 31, this Love extension will be for his 32-35 seasons. I just have a lot of reservations.

The worst thing about that deal is it seems like it was Gilbert forcing Altman into it and if it turns out really bad he's gonna get canned, which stinks

The extension kicks in when he's 31 and lasts until he's 34. I also wouldn't really factor in age too much with Love, who already doesn't exactly depend on athleticism too much, and he's honestly in the best shape of his life right now. I don't see him losing his shooting touch or rebounding capability in the next four to five years due to age.

I initially wanted a full-blown tank but tanking is dangerous - especially when it seems like half the teams in the NBA are doing it at the same time right now.

Tanking builds a losing culture that is extremely hard to overcome, players don't want to be here AND you have to get insanely lucky. Between 2011 and 2013 the Cavs had a No. 1 pick, a No. 4 pick and a No. 1 pick and still couldn't win without LeBron returning.

I'm at the point where If a 5x all-star WANTS to stay, you keep him. Especially considering Cleveland isn't typically a free agent destination for good players.

Love, Tristan, Korver, Hill, Frye, Cedi, Zizic, Nance, Hood and Clarkson have been part of a championship culture. Why flip it into a losing culture, which will be dangerously hard to overcome?

And if the wheels fall off this season or next with Kevin Love, well then you just increased his trade value a ton by extending his contract so other teams don't have to worry about trading for a guy who will leave after the season.

In addition, Love took less than the max and as of now the Cavs have $25 Mil in cap space for 2019 and $70 mil for 2020.

    I like the move.

  24. Next year's draft isn't super deep either. RJ is going to be a can't miss prospect, but the rest isn't as good as the following year.

However, if CLE ever wins the lottery again in my lifetime I'll know that shit is rigged.

barrett is good but i don’t think the gap between him and everyone else is as big as a lot of people seem to be saying. reddish, langford, zion and bol are all gonna be really good.
