In a less dick-ish response... I actually was talking about the overuse of VH and RVH on another board, in regards to Andersen (TOR), but the point stands largely across the league.

Me saying that means very little because A) Hank is one hundred million times better than I am (I ran the numbers) and B) I over-use RVH myself.

On NHL tonight, Weekes made a very good analysis of the play. Except - maddening to me - he kept calling RVH "VH". This style because very popular shortly after he left the league (I think), so that partially explains it. Schneider did a wonderful bit on the show a while back showing the differences, and his personal knowledge showed.

This was a crazy play where you can stupidly argue positioning like I am, but it was just a fluke. But obviously the most important takeaway is that this happened between two Swedes who are much more handsome than any of us.

I'm surprised I survived the entire time after Bones scored. Good news is I think my girlfriend is becoming an Pens fan haha. She tried to fight it initially, but I think I'm wearing her down.

 

I was at the Sens game last night. Wasn't even sold out sad and surprising since it's round 2 of the playoffs.

 

Read a few articles about that this morning, such a weird phenomenon. Not to mention ticket prices are super low compared to every team left in the playoffs (aside from Anaheim).

Read that article, Canadian Tire Centre is way out where Jesus left his sandals in Kanata as well, right? I'm not privy to Ottawa geography and labor trends all that much, but it probably has the smallest metropolitan population of any Canadian NHL city except for Winnipeg no? And even Winnipeg's arena is downtown.

Edit: If Darling signs in CAR, they might do exactly what Toronto did this past season and surprise a lot of people.

Well I knew this day would come. Still sucks b/c he's just a fantastic story and the best athlete to ever come out of my hometown, but I'm thrilled of all teams it's to Carolina and now they are officially my team in the East. And I can still wear my Darling jersey around and the color scheme is roughly the same haha.

Toronto signed 23-year-old left-handed Swedish defenceman Calle Rosén (6'0", 180 pounds) today to a two-year ELC. The Blackhawks were looking at him, too.

Leafs signed second round pick Carl Grundstrom to three-year ELC yesterday as well.

 

Please let PK have another monster game tonight because listening to Milbury call him a clown for having fun in warmups is infuriating. This is why I normally avoid NBCSN til the game actually starts.
