After reading Gettleman's quotes from last night it appears he was going to take McCaffrey no matter who else was available. I haven't seen him as happy about a pick as he is for this one. He also made an interesting comparison, said as an inside the box runner CMC reminds him of Curtis Martin. It was also confirmed that he'll be taking over KR/PR duties immediately. Ladanian Tomlinson said he was the best pick in the first round. I'm excited to see what this guy can do.

And I'll say it again, the "he's not a RB he's a slot receiver" take is the worst thing I've ever heard. How do these guys get paid for this shit?

It'd be nice if the Eagles traded up tonight for one Sydney Jones, Kevin King or Dalvin Cook. Howie won't though, Howie doesn't wanna a good football player in this draft.

I'd predict one of those four too

 

Godwin and Kpassagon are also options in round 2 (might be able to get them at #64 though). The team is high on both guys.

 

Definitely good fits at #64. Too much value right now to take them with the first one though.

There is an aura of collective sadness over the Chicago area today after the Trubs pick last night. The guy I talk football with occasionally at work is not a happy camper today.

 

I feel like the pick for IND has to be pass rush in the second, but idk if they can pass up any of those top CBs on the board if they're still there.

Kamara is also intriguing.

 

Trubisky is good.

But they paid so much to move up for him.
