I mean, in the 6th round with two picks remaining, I'm ok with it in the event things turn out to be different. But just because you draft someone doesn't mean you have to sign them. So if it goes the way we think it will he will never really be around. Browns seemed to handle it the right way. I probably would not have had him on my board, but it's not like a contract is guaranteed at this point. This is basically an insurance policy.

Just read that. Kind of confirms why I would not have had him on my board. Have a feeling the team will end up not signing him, so this was likely a wasted pick.

Handling it the right way would have involved not taking him at all. Kudos to the FO for the nice soundbite, but that doesn't mean much to me.
