@Night Channels how do you feel about taking maye so high and not taking an ot? My friends are texting me confused af lol I thought Stewart was cool but I'm not sure he'll make much impact if the qb is on his back or throwing ints like hack does. Devin smith is literally a bonus if he plays more than 8 games this year hahaha

I imagine Deion did the same for Duke. David/Kwon/Beckwith is ridiculously good. And obviously my favorite linebacker corps in the league haha.

I'm actually liking the way this draft is going for Philly. I've warmed up to the Barnett pick the more I read up on him/watch videos on him and I like that they went full defense last night.

Really curious to see if they draft a RB tonight or if they actually intend to keep Mathews around for the last season of his contract. Or, if they even have the cap to do this (I'm not sure), cut Mathews and sign some RB on the market for a cheap 1-2 year deal as a band-aid

I didn't realize the cowboys got awuzie and Lewis back to back, hate them.

I had Marcus Maye pegged as a first rounder, so that value was awesome in my opinion. I would've liked to see them go offense, but Mike Maccagnan is gonna go BPA. I trust this team to draft defensive backs with Todd Bowles running the show - that's what he does.

Stewart played in that run-heavy, pro-style offense with very bad quarterback play at Alabama. I like him as a YAC player, so hopefully Morton finds a way to manufacture some touches for him early on. He can do some damage on quick-hit screens - that kind of stuff can help a run game out because it stretches a defense. The screen game can also get an inaccurate/inexperienced QB in rhythm. He can do a lot of the stuff that Quincy Enunwa does for the Jets. I think he can maybe get 3-5 touches a game as a role player early on and he'll compete for the kick return spot.

What's important to me is that they are getting tough, proven kids that don't have to sit on the bench instead of these project type players that we've become accustomed to over the years.

    Vlad ducasse forever

That being said they now have three more picks so I would think they'll take 1 but idk. They could also trade it for a random Texans returner that never plays for them and retires

Evan Silva hates the Jets no matter what. I believe he's a Dolphins fan.

I think Pryor is done here by the end of today, but if he somehow stays, he'll become a hybrid LB/SS similar to how Deone Bucannon was used by Bowles in Arizona. He said last night that he wants to play three safeties a lot to help against evolving spread looks in the NFL but he hasn't been able to in the past because of personnel/depth.

Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye are both plug-in-play safeties. They aren't just box players, like a lot of these "scouts" like Evan Silva want to label them. They can both come down into the box when needed, but they can rock back as well. I think we'll see Marcus Maye in the post more often than Adams though.

Fair enough, all I literally remember about maye is he definitely comes down and tackles people haha I guess the Falcons thought Keanu Neal was more than that and it paid off.

    The rivalry is back on

I like, but don't love, the Colts' Day 2.

CB and pass rush were the way to go, but in hindsight, I would have rather gone with Bowser in R2 and taken Lewis in R3 than pick Wilson in R2 and Basham in R3.

I guess we'll see really soon whether this Colts coaching staff can develop players in the secondary. So far, their track record isn't great.

I like the Tabor pick, he'll fit into our zone coverage scheme well

I just don't get the Golladay pick

It was weird drafting two people from the same school, definitely not used to that haha

    The rivalry is back on

Also, pass rush has been the #1 need for this team for the past two years, and there has been a grand total of 1 3rd round pick used to address that in the past two years

Desmond King could be a steal at this point. Dorian Johnson though. That should be the only name out of Caldwells mouth. That or Butt or Hodges. No one else.

I'm fine with going BPA for the rest. Would like a tackle but I don't think we'll find that late in this draft

  22. Give me Butt.

They aren't taking two right tackles.

Also, Randy Gregory is a moron

Yeah, he could've been really something. Especially for the Cowboys.
