I'm not saying the Bucs COULDN'T have won, but it might've not been a blowout. Also, blame Oakland for trading Gruden in the first place. Sure, the return was good on the trade, but it's at the price of a Super Bowl.

I just think it's nuts to think you could tank a Super Bowl game, it's not like gruden wasn't a really good coach before that.

 

He's probably right. Fitzpatrick always has random spurts, it makes sense he'd randomly catch fire when he shouldn't. I'd trust his opinion on it, I just haven't watched much Jets football since 2015-16 season.

 

Welker is gonna kick ass helping coach our special teams considering he still thinks he works for Belichick

 

I don't suggest watching it, I want them to be good just so I don't have to watch a garbage team get obliterated as the second local game every so often. It's really bad. I like the coaching additions they made a lot though. I just think too much pressure was on Bowles after that season and the fact that they had such a bad pick in a draft that had like 15 good players at the top and bad depth was pure misfortune. The hackenberg pick was also a joke.

 

I'm optimistic for the Eagles but than I realize that we'll have to win every game in a shoot out because our secondary sucks

 

I'm really excited to watch the Eagles this year. They've got a lot of guys that I think could be good but so very few I think will be great.

 

if Wentz improves, they should have a good offense

good OL and now with Blount maybe they'll get a consistent run game

 

I mean the offense should be explosive, but that really depends on the improvement of Wentz. I'm a firm believer that this season falls on Lane Johnson. If the dude gets suspended again this team is toast.

 

If was a gm I'd probably spend at least 2-3 of my picks on OL every year, I don't get when gms don't unless you're like the patriots who have ridiculous depth

 

I just like the players the Eagles have on defense. I'm interested in seeing Mills and Gerry. Barnett should be really fun too.

 

I really love Mills, the guy has a great attitude, he's scrappy and has heart. I really hated the Barnett pick at first but god damn does he have a motor.

 

I liked the Barnett pick but I think after they got Sidney Jones it was a great pick. I also like Mills a lot.

I am a huge Wentz fan and think he has tremendous upside since his mechanics can be worked with (and by all accounts, have been significantly this offseason and as such, makes me quite excited for year two) but GOD FUCKING DAMN IT.

ESP is so bad at his job and that article makes me angry.

To be fair, that article also said they'd start a fantasy dynasty with Mahomes and Darnold over Wentz.

The inverse of how I feel

I am optimistic about the Jags cause I think our defense can now hold most opponents to 20 points. And Fournette should help us keep the ball and limit opposing scoring opportunities. Between having to score less, and having a better running game, I just don't think Bortles is gonna have as much negative impact as he has had with more pressure on him. Even if he hasn't improved from last year, he will still be less of a liability on a roster that has more players capable of carrying the team.

 

On paper, the roster has no reason not to compete. I just think about the defense and it makes me forget that the entire coaching staff is nothing but asshats. They'd be getting more hype if they weren't called the Jaguars.
