    I'm Sleepy Supporter

Gary Meyers from the NYDN just said it would cost the Giants 3 1st round picks to get Bill. That seems...dumb.

Right? I would give up three first rounders for BB right now in a heartbeat lol.

  3. If Bill does in fact leave, I hope that team gets fucking cursed for trading Jimmy G. Probably the dumbest thing they could have done.

Kinda salty the Jags didn’t chase Jimmy G :(

Just salty in general we’re stuck with Bortles. A team with both the #1 defense AND running game deserves so much better

Yeah, especially since his price was so low. Would've gladly given up a first for him.

Hard to say Jimmy G would replicate the same success in a place like Jacksonville and/or Buffalo tho considering the coaching

Jimmy G would’ve called it a career in Cleveland by now.

If that ESPN piece has merit, it seemed more like BB did Shanahan a favor by calling him specifically to trade to him San Fran, and realistically he wasn't planning on trying to trade him elsewhere

I don't know what that means at all. Jimmy G would THRIVE in this offense.

Miss me with your sound logic cause I don't actually know anything about the Jags lol

lol what do you mean considering the coaching?

I really don't get why everyone hates Marrone so much. With 2 years of head coaching so far, he's had two winning seasons and made the playoffs in one. (And won two more games as interim head coach last year.) His record is 21-13, with two teams that people laughed at before he took over.

I get that he left Buffalo unceremoniously, and I still maintain that the ownership probably had a hand in that. He created drama in his younger career. But has has he really done something wrong on the football field? Literally the only thing I don't like so far is that we got swept by Tennessee after beating them by like 40 points last year, we better get on our game against our rivals.

Other than that though, I've been impressed with our coaching. Our horrid offensive line can suddenly run and pass block overnight. Our backup WR have filled in admirably, and elevated their game enough for us to still pass the ball just fine late in the season. Our rookies and second year players have basically all developed according to plan. They're getting more out of Campbell despite using him differently than Arizona has ever used him. They're adapting to Bortles being shit, involving more misdirection & playaction bootlegs & horizontal routes, and they've managed to coach up the #1 rushing offense and #1 defense so they've literally done everything they can do to make a Bortles team good.

We've responded to adversity so far. The SF game, we almost came back twice. The Seahawks game, we had to get aggressive and re-establish our lead twice. The in-game adjustments have been very solid.

"considering the coaching" Jimmy G should be winning a Superbowl with us right now.

I don't put a lot of stock in these kind of tweets right after someone gets hired, but I think there's *some* truth to it. Apparently Nagy ended the interview by saying "I really want to be the coach of the Chicago Bears." And ownership ate that up. as if that's not something that everyone has always said in every interview ever.

I think it came down to 1) Ryan Pace apparently coming off as impressive in the interview process. He apparently sold the Bears really well to all the candidates. And 2) Nagy loves Trubisky.

Yeah, I agree. I buy that Nagy wanted the Chicago job as his first choice and that Indy was some degree of interested, but I probably don’t buy that a Chicago beat writer knows what is happening with the Colts’ coaching search when none of the local beat writers know anything.
