Before delving into this and turning this particular hire in a race issue (btw, the hire is ridiculously stupid), let's just keep in perspective the man who hired him looks like this:

Yeah, I'm sure it was that and not firing him after two straight winning seasons.

 

If you use this logic then he wouldn't want to go to the Raiders... a team that said he was less valuable to them than a draft pick.

The Raiders are their own interesting void. The way they did Hue Jackson was bad, but, they've been good overall as a franchise (first black coach, first female CEO, etc)

But this is definitely the messed up part. Even if you are gonna jerk around the Rooney Rule, at least "pretend" to interview people that could actually become head coaches and get their name out there
