Kizer starts, flops out by Week 6 (not wanting the Texans D-line to murder him). Josh McCown gets hurt by the bye week. Kessler is gonna get a shot at some point in the 2nd half of the season

It's preseason. Trubisky plays on a horrible roster. Watson plays behind a poor line. Mahomes plays with no skill players. Kizer plays behind one of the best offensive lines in football.

Blaine Gabbert is the leading passer. Corey Grant is the leading rusher. Go ahead and note that "Big Four" line also. Cooper Rush has been looking good. Kizer hasn't been too much better than Trubisky and frankly, Mahomes has been pretty good as well lol. Like, Kizer has been better than Watson is a much more honest statement.

As a fan? Sure. Have all the fun you want. Let's not play revisionist though or act like happening to be correct makes you right haha. The reasons to doubt Kizer the prospect don't cease to exist just because of what Kizer the player does.
