Bizarre that anyone could consider Casey a laughing stock considering his steady coaching is one of the reasons that the Raptors turned around from the grueling Bosh-era and have been making the playoffs consistently. If losing to LeBron in the playoffs was a sign of not performing, every Eastern team should be treated the same way.

He made consistently awful decisions in games (especially the end of games) for multiple years. This was an nba twitter punchline for quite a while.

People forget how bad the Raptors were before Casey took over. Yeah, there have been boneheaded decisions made but he's still a major reason that they righted the ship, especially considering that beyond Lowry and DeRozan, the team was still always fairly mediocre. Stealing two wins in the Eastern Finals to the eventual champions (who were much superior in pretty much every way) was a fantastic achievement considering that they had no business winning at all.

I make fun of sensitive Raps fans and their inferiority complex but here I am. Goddammit.
