I come for the music news, i stay for the @primavera and @Drew Beringer take-offs

 

this season he is at 1.7. he's played that many games and yet he didn't make the playoffs until the team got blake, and has not been able to win consistently there since the team did get blake. also, giannis is a top defender and is averaging more steals and blocks, with a higher defensive plus minus this season. also also, he's six years younger and can't really play at the same time as deandre. also also also, he's already on the team and we wouldn't have to deplete the only assets we have to get him lol.

 

can you honestly sit here and say deandre is a, idk, top 6 center in the league? maybe right now today he is, MAYBE, but since this is a franchise and you have to look at, idk, stuff like going forward and trade assets, why would we give anything up for a 29 year old who plays a style of position that is ancient and will only get older when that player isn't top 5 in his position?

i'm not saying we would get boogie, but if we're talking about building a big package to get a center, why wouldn't we do that for one who is actually valuable lol

 

he's at 1.7 on almost definitely the worst team he's ever been on he's still leading the league in trb or damn close (and also is shooting 60% FT). i would definitely say the clippers not winning is about 1000x more Doc Rivers' fault than DJ's. Not saying that would be a good trade or he's better than Giannis(??) because those are both obviously not true. but dont slander my man

 

the team he is on now is ten wins below at the halfway point the total wins that his first three teams had at the end of the season. what are you talking about

 

since they got chris paul. whatever. they're much worse than theyve been since he's been one of the best defensive centers in the league

 

all centers i would rather have than DJ. most would cost less, some much MUCH less:

not that we need one. because everyone in the league besides jason kidd knows giannis is the center of the future

LeBron stepping out of bounds was meaningless because he missed the layup anyway.

 

Bledsoe/Brogdon/Middleton/Jabari/Giannis is an interesting lineup if they can learn to defend well enough

 

3/5 of that lineup already are very solid defenders. think jabari is a lost cause on that end but he obviously adds so much offensively. think middleton can pick up the slack on defense with less responsibility on the offensive end.

we're talking about all of this because the bucks lost to the warriors lol. the fucking warriors.

Aside from Giannis being more of a beast and acquiring Bledsoe, not much as changed this season. Coaching and players have not developed. I said this when the season began....the Bucks are going to be another middle of the road team unless they bring in more talent or guys start developing so they gain more value to trade or bring in free agents to play with giannis.

there isn’t much room for improvement needed there. the team hasn’t improved much because our coaching staff is fucking awful. with a competent staff, that’s easily a top 3 starting five in the east. we could certainly use a solid bench contributor, maybe nerlens, but we don’t need to bring in someone via trade. that notion is ridiculous. when your roster is capable and underperforming, it doesn’t negate the talent you have, it shows that there’s a problem with talent management.

and there have been changes. look at where the bucks were this point last year. outside of an incredible final 20 games of the season, we were really bad last year. and not “bad” like how we appear when @Drew Beringer rants, but like really fucking bad. for better or worse, halfway through the season we’re above .500 and in the playoffs. that’s improvement. i’m not saying the bucks will likely go on another run in the final 20, but with fairly minor adjustments and kidd pulling his head out of his ass, it’s certainly more possible than not.

 

i understand the bucks disappointment. fuck, i’m often the one super disappoited. when you have a top 5 player, you should be better than circling .500. however, look at the pelicans: they have two top ten players and are in a much worse place than us going forward. the cavs are on a three game losing streak. but even with those other teams, the major difference between the other teams with a generational talent and the bucks is coaching. that’s what it always boils down to. pump the brakes with the trade lunacy lol
