Basically my feelings on any athlete not on the US team. Everyone is amazing but I have to root against them.

Volleyball challenge rules are so odd. You cant challenge if a guy touched the ball before it went out? Only on a block?

Beach volleyball had it weird too, you couldnt challenge a double-touch. Its the same video replay...

 

I was just thinking the exact same thing.

 

Ugh.

 

Ugh. I've watch three volleyball semi finals (men's, women's, women's beach) and the US has lost them all. I'm bad luck. This one's on me guys.

 

It's the first major tournament with the replay. I'm sure they'll course-correct a little based on feedback and results.

Ugh. So disappointing.

 

Yeah, overall, I thought the replay worked really well. But I'm pretty unclear why certain correctable calls aren't able to be challenged.

That said, Italy won this on their own. Zaytsev, in particular, was phenomenal -- especially in that fourth set.

 

USA looking good so far against a pretty competitive Spain

 

These refs are atrocious. I may never complain about NBA refs again.

 

Mirotic having 4 fouls already bodes pretty well for USA. He's been hot from three this Olympics.

 

This is bad, but I still say PAC-12 refs are the worst I've ever seen.

 

Gasol was sloppy as hell with the ball in the 3rd.

 

Australia is getting steamrolled by Serbia.

 

That relay took so much out of me I had to drain my wine glass. And we still have the men's to go.

 

That was really impressive out of lane one. When I saw that's where they were, I didn't think they had a shot.

 

Bolt is so damn fast. Legit shocked by that Japanese run. Wow. Great relay.

 

Every time I watch Bolt race, I just say "Holy shit".
