Oh wow...just saw the lineup for Saturday, that's damn near perfect. I'm actually going to be able to watch all 3!

 

It's been rough. I've been cutting it at 12:30am at the latest, which means I miss most of the second on the west coast games.

It was sort of rough living out west as a Leafs fan too though, because it meant getting home from work and only being able to catch midway through the second or the beginning of the third. In general though, it's pretty rough being a Leafs fan.

 

Being a Leafs fan on the west coast sounds like more of a blessing than an inconvenience.

 

The Red Wings losing kind of shows what happens when you overfill a team's lineup with grinding style players that aren't really natural scorers, and then let your best players age without restocking with similar talent. It was painful watching Helm and Sheahan get stopped on their breakaways last night. Hopefully Holland really has a wake up call from all of this and has the offseason of a lifetime. I'm pulling for SJ + STL in the short term in the west, and TB + WAS in the east. I mostly just want LA + CHI out.

 

With what the wings have I can see them missing or limping into the playoffs but being serious contenders in about four years.

 

I hope you're correct, but it's gonna take a lot of smart decisions by a management that has made a lot of questionable ones in recent memory. It's hard to compete without a #1 defenseman, and until they find that, they're never going to take the next step. The best teams are good down the middle, and good on defense. Detroit has neither a #1 center or a #1 defenseman. Maybe Larkin can fill in one of those holes, but it's gonna be interesting. If Datsyuk does retire and they can move the salary, maybe that extra cap hit can help bring in a big piece.

 

How many east coasters watched the 3OT Ducks/Blackhawks Game 2 last year? Had to have been almost 3 a.m. by the time that ended haha

 

Lol around this time last year I was walking up at 3AM

 

I watched a good portion of it. I also had a 5 month old that didn't like to sleep

 

Wow that goal from Kane was a thing of beauty

Hawks/Preds had at least one 2 AM finish last year.

 

Yep. 3 OT game that I was actually at. Then I had a 2.5 hour drive home.

I've said this before but as a dodgers fan and a sharks fan. I find this chant so bad and great at the same time.

 

I know Schenn has done some dirty crap, but this is incredibly stupid in the playoffs.
