Did McDavid accomplish that? This sounds sarcastic but it's a legit question.

 

I don't believe Erie won a Memorial Cup, so Marner > McDavid I think pretty decisively at this point.

Seriously though, Marner is in pretty elite company. I can't remember all the names, but the handful of others who've done it (or close to it) are all legitimate NHL superstars. Brad Richards and Corey Perry I believe, McDavid ticked every other box minus MC MVP, and maybe one or two others. The list gets rattled off on HFBoards every so often, so it's in there somewhere.

 

I don't know if I should be happy or worried that a majority of the media has picked the Sharks to win it all.

 

I'm gonna make my own Stanley Cup prediction:

By the conclusion of the finals CobraKidJon will have developed a crippling anxiety disorder.

 

I somehow made it to second in our bracket. Not bad for my team not making it out of the first round.

 

My bracket fell when Tampa Bay did

 

Mine fell when Panthers and Preds did, and Caps to a lesser extent.

 

In expansion draft rules news, according to LeBrun, players with MNCs are "immune" - presumably meaning they're not required to be protected because they're ineligible to be picked anyway.

So, good news for... idk, Columbus? And a few others probably.

 

Also seems like the salary cap minimum thing for the expansion draft is out
