I'd much rather prefer the Sharks use Demelo as the sixth because he is better at shot supression than Polak. He also has a speed advantage. I still hate that pick of Mueller and I don't see him as anything more than a bottom pairing guy.

No way should the Sharks let Nieto walk especially because I don't think Meier or Goldobin are ready for the NHL.

It'd be silly for Carolina to go after Reimer when they have some solid goaltending prospects and I think Lack would do fine.

If you would have told me that the Sharks 4th line wasn't very good during the playoffs, I wouldn't be surprised.

If you told me that putting Zubrus on our fourth line and it suddenly turning into one of our best lines, I'd be so shocked.

I feel like Nieto only has speed going for him. and some defensive play. But Timo is ready for sure, and Goldobin will get there when playing in the NHL consistently.

As far as Reimer goes, its more wishful thinking as he will probably really go to Calgary, and I don't want that at all!

Zubrus has been a great pick up. All our lines are clicking to be honest. The only forwards that I feel aren't pulling their weight are Karlsson and Spaling, but even then, they aren't awful, just not great.

Meier is in a high offensive scoring league and he still struggles a bunch especially being an overage player. It would be dumb to try to get him on the Sharks already without any proper wait especially when they have more players in the Barracuda ready.

Nieto speed and defensive ability is great in a league that is moving more towards that style of play.

-I am *sigh* okay with Loui walking if we're unable to get him at under 6 mil, but he's also very good so I won't be upset if he's a slight overpay, as long as we can retain Marchand/Krug

-I would love to see the Bruins take a run at Okposo. Throw Pastrnak w/ Bergeron, and give Krejci a legit proven RW in the Iginla/Horton mold. Re-sign Stemp if he can be had for cheap.

-As far as defense, would like to see Demers (3-4 years) signed, and would love to have Brian Campbell on a two year deal. Krug continues to grow as a top 4, and the new additions ease some of Chara's burden. However, we will end up with Kris Russell on a 5/6 year deal, and a Kevan Miller extension.

-This is all assuming we can make Seidenberg, McQuaid, and Hayes disappear, which.....lol

Who do you like from the Barracuda if Timo doesn't get the call? Absolutely interested in your opinion, not sarcastically asking.

Maybe Carpenter or Barclay get another shot?

It's weird that these are all former Leafs players.

I just don't see him with the Sharks unless he strictly plays with the Joes.

I think the Sharks just need to fill their depth with guys like Morin, Carpenter and Goodrow for next year.

Ugh Wayne Simmonds is the best, honestly

He's one of those guys you'd love to have on your team but hate otherwise, so yeah I dislike him as a player, but so much respect for him.

Is anybody else enjoying the mental image of this kid firing off an email to Simmonds who then goes down to his elementary school and starts punching a bunch of 8 year olds in the face?

    Because I sure am.

The Philadelphia Flyers said Saturday that center Claude Giroux and defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere will be out up to three months due to surgery.

Giroux and Gostisbehere each will have procedures done Tuesday on their right hips as well as surgery to repair bilateral lower abdominal tears.

"We expect both players to be able to return to full activity in 10-12 weeks," general manager Ron Hextall said.

100% yes. I think it's also safe to assume that the kid was crying because Simmonds suggested he could play for the Flyers some day.

I mean, I don't see any Scott Gomez or Chris Drury types in that bunch...not even a Wade Redden!

Admittedly excellent point. I would like to formally retract my post and issue an official apology.
