Can't wait for Cubs to become the new Yankees, it'll be awhile but it's gonna happen. Eventually there will be people who hate them as much as I do, after 10 championships.

 

Seeing all the videos of peoples' grandpas watching the final out has got me emotional today

 

Can't really say anymore than what's already been said, but I'm really glad some of our most standup guys like Zobs, Ross, Montgomery, and Miggy got to bask in the biggest sports spotlight in Chicago history versus piece of shit Chapman. Still doesn't feel real.

Like most of us Cubs folk have been saying, hard to root against the Indians and I sincerely hope you guys gets your sooner than later.

 

What a fucking game that was huh. I love Rossy and Lester. Love Love Love. So so so happy. Love Theo, the GOAT. Love all those young Theo draftees. Fuck Chapman but omg

 

Also, all 3 of our catchers drove in runs tonight. Seriously crazy.

All sadness aside, that was one of the best times I've ever had watching baseball.

 

I mean that was a pretty good game. I vote for a game 8.

 

I feel like, with the rain, there was a non-zero chance of this happening. If it was midnight after 9 and they expected to pour into the morning, what would they have done? I think replaying it would've been better than starting the game in the 10th or after with teams having 1 pitcher and no bench players. But iunno if that would've been possible in the rules.

 

Speaking of Chapman, anyone else realize that dude has a big ass? Like that is a big ol' butt

 

Congratulations to all the Cubs fans. Although I'm once again a heartbroken die-hard Cleveland fan, I'm glad I got to be a part of last night's epic game. I was lucky enough to have been to three of the World Series games this year. I'll never forget that Rajai Davis game tying home run as long as I live. Such a great moment in Cleveland sports history. I feel like the rain delay killed all of Cleveland's momentum, and froze up Shaw's arm (wouldn't have brought him back out there after the delay, but, it's whatever). Not sure if you guys saw this, but I guess during the rain delay, the Indians players went into clubhouse and it was all wrapped up in plastic and ready for celebration. That had to have been a weird feeling for the players to see that while game was still going on.

The Indians made such an improbable run this postseason, literally an underdog in pretty much every game they played. It truly was remarkable but they just simply ran up against a better team. Hoping we can keep this team in tact - and healthy - for next season.

 

I feel like Miggy's actual winning RBI single is already getting lost in the coverage, so here's a nod to him and my favorite shot of the postseason

 

Thank you and Cleveland and the entire organization for that series. As a Cubs fan, the time between the game tying home run and the start of the 10th is the closest I can imagine I'll ever come to knowing what it feels like to be slow cooked.

You guys played like champions and deserve every ounce of praise headed your way. Hope to spend next November with you as well.

I'm going to be spending so much money on World Series champions gear.

Also, hats off to Cleveland. They're the only other team I follow on social media and I started following them sometime in August because they were so cool and interesting. Lindor is amazing. Kluber is a robot. The bullpen is lights out. I was hoping for a Cleveland championship if the Cubs had gotten knocked out earlier.

What a series and what a year!

 

Henry Blanco gets a ring as a coach. That gets me.

 

I'm just glad I don't have to hear about the curse/streak etc. anymore. And sad face Lebron always makes me happy.

 

This whole not throwing to the bases thing that Lester does though... I mean, it has got to be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard of.

 

All of the revenue from the postseason needs to go immediately towards his future contract.
