FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

Haven't seen a player this lost since Alfonso Soriano in his last postseason before the Yanks traded him for A-Rod. Throw a slider anywhere within 5 feet of home plate. Was the same thing with Soriano.

True, would be sad yet hilarious if they end up losing in the same fashion the GSW did over the summer to the Cavs. Like the coincidental nature of it.

To be frank, I've supported the Cubs run in here and in other places on this site. Beyond that, there's still a rivalry between the two teams and yes, part of me wants the Cubs to eat shit because of it. If they end up winning it after all, good on them. I'm not going to be a butthole about it.

I mean, what would Cleveland value more? Lebron bringing a championship in basketball? Or the Indians winning it all? If they could just pick one, what would it be?

To me, I feel like Lebron coming home and winning them a title is a far more special thing than the Indians winning it. But I have no ties to Cleveland and have very neutral feelings regarding their sports teams. (Actually, I quite enjoy the Browns being terrible and find it entertaining.)

True but considering how close they've come to winning it in the past, it would totally still suck for Indians fans if they ended up blowing that lead after tonight. We'll have to see though.

  7. One year after this I lived less than half a mile from where it happened. So mad about that

Either way, I'm totally content with both teams winning in the end. If the Cubs win, all those generations of Cubs fans get to see the team finally get a title and that's awesome. If the Indians win, they finally get a title after coming so close in the past and Cleveland gets to see two titles in one year so that's also awesome.

Good game by the Cubs tonight. They pitched and hit better tonight. The bats were just too silent this time around. Credit to the pitching.

Bittersweet feeling because I really, really wanted to end it last night, but I'm going to Game 6 tomorrow night so it'd be beyond special to see us win a championship while I'm physically standing in the building. Honestly, my mind can't even process that.

In my opinion, Indians got beat at their own game yesterday AND really let the Cubs off the hook in FOUR straight innings. Indians had a runner in scoring position with less than two outs in four straight innings and only got one run out of it. I thought Bauer for the most part pitched pretty good, really only made a mistake or two.

I thought Maddon was out of his mind for taking out Lester in an elimination game and putting Chapman in for 2 2/3 but it worked.

I keep seeing this but people must understand, can't even compare the two situations. A) A 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals had never been overcome before. Cavs were first to do it ever. It's happened many times in baseball. (Indians blew a 3-1 ALCS lead in 2007 to Boston). It's happened 5 times in the World Series. B) The Cavs did it vs. a historically good team with the first ever unanimous MVP. The Indians are missing 2 of their starters and are winning bullpen games.

Want this to go to game 7 so the Cubs can win, but mostly because I don't want the season to be over. This is the first year I've really followed the sport aside from watching the Mets occasionally lose for years.

    Interesting tidbit:

Josh Tomlin was the winning pitcher for the Indians this year when they: Took over 1st place for the year, Clinched Home Field Advantage, Won the ALDS.

Hoping to add Won World Series Title to the end of that.
