    The rivalry is back on

Agreed. I just feel very bad for anyone who has to take 285W to get to the game (or anyone who is commuting that way anyways) because that's already a nightmare. At least most travel on 75 to the stadium is going against the worst traffic.

They should just sign reasonable contracts for now and if those guys outperform, trade them for more prospects. They'll probably do nothing like last year though.

Finally the Tigers are streaking and Cleveland is struggling, as it should be.

Rockies hitting five home runs this game because they think it's a home run derby.

This Tigers team is so weird. I'm so excited they're on a winning streak, but I'm just mentally preparing for the downfall to happen.

    A DILAPIDATED BOAT! Prestigious

With Baseball now set to be in the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, and MLB unwilling to let their players play in the Olympics, what's the compromise for Team USA in 2020? would they let minor leaguers play or are they going to recruit primarily from college baseball teams?

Bryce Harper had a post on Instagram expressing his excitement about the return of baseball to the Olympics and how he really hopes that MLB players get a chance to play. Hopefully enough players speak out about it and force MLB to take them seriously and reconsider.

Has MLB completely shut that down? My understanding is they were discussing it

it's a logistical nightmare to allow mlb players in the olympics. i dont see a way they can do it

I'd rather watch an MLB game than an Olympic baseball game, and would hate to see a major pitching injury mid-season during the Olympics.

I've never been able to get into the WBC. Idk how I feel about this. Pretty sure I'd also rather watch an MLB game.

Isn't the WBC a tourney for baseball to play in on an international level because it was not part of the Olympics?

One of the more entertaining things I've seen in a game in awhile lol.

  15. The Indians, with probably at worst a top three rotation in either league, averaged six runs per game against the worst team in the AL and lost three out of four. Fuck you, baseball.

The Yankees need to cut A-Rod if only to shut Michael Kay the fuck up for 2 goddamn minutes.

Really hoping the Giants can take down the Nats for a few games as the Mets continue their slow and steady crawl towards the wild card.

It's crazy how quickly they got back into the AL Central race with the Indians having a mini implosion vs the Twins. Like, 10 days ago the Indians were up 8 games on the Tigers, now it's only 3 (although 4 in the loss column, which is all that matters).

The Indians final 16 games are vs CWS, KC and Detroit so if the Indians want to win the Central, they'll need a nice cushion going into the final 2-3 weeks of the season.

God I hope so. We need a decent road trip, and I have family that works for the Mets so they're my unofficial backup, hah.

    CF Ellsbury
    SS Gregorius
    1B Bird
    RF Judge
    C Sanchez
    2B Castro
    LF Austin
    DH McCann
    3B Headley

I would like to see something like this the majority of the year. Gardner would still get plenty of time with McCann and Ellsbury there. McCann is a good veteran to have there with the youth. And if Frazier is ready at some point next year start getting him in there for McCann.
