  1. Shaw is serviceable, which is probably better than Pablo yeah. He could get a little better this season too

How did Sandoval get so bad so quick? It can't just be a weight issue.

I'm still getting used to the fish eye but it is a really neat idea that I think is much better in the long run. Just gonna take a little time to adjust.

One complaint I have is the energy/confidence gauges are harder to read this year, imo. I preferred the bars to the new circle cause I can just see them better for whatever reason.

His defense is a problem and you wonder how to parse that between age and weight, given that he was only ever an average defender to start and always carried a lot of weight.

His bat, I'm not sure that it's toast yet. If it has fallen off at all from his '12-14 production though, it doesn't play well with a repeat of last year's defense.

I haven't completely given up on him yet though - largely because I'm not sold on Travis Shaw - and think benching Pablo to start the season isn't the right call, but I'm not up in arms over it.

The sox are gonna be pretty dang good in a few years, so many solid hitting prospects.

Hopefully the yanks can catch up soon :(

So glad baseball is back. Going to opening day at the Coliseum, even though I'm the farthest thing from an A's/White Sox fan. Probably going to preemptively duck every time Lawrie's at bat.

Mets and yanks are having awesome old school trains take people just for opening day, trying to go.

That explains why I read he wasn't going to talk to the media until after the season starts now. Probably embarrassed him.

The only thing that causes me to root for the Rangers his Josh Hamilton and that's a really hard thing to do is root for him.

That's alright, hopefully they'll be good come May when Hamilton and Darvish return

You don't think we'll be good until then? Team seems pretty stacked to me.

@Brenden any particular reason why? RE: hamilton & the Rangers

I mean we'll be good regardless, I more meant we'll be elevated once Hamilton and Darvish return. I'm just excited to see what Desmond brings to the team as well as Profar coming back. It'll be a good year, I have high hopes for them.

I saw Hamilton play when he was in high school and I was in elementary school and falling in love with baseball. So to see someone that I saw get drafted #1 blew my mind.

I also played for some coaches he had. The old guy who pitched to him during he HR Derby when he went off was one of my American Legion coaches the summer before.

I also watched him drop bombs at my high school field one summer during his drug banishment.

The little kid in my always want to follow him but the adult in me is tired of his baggage.

That's awesome. Obviously, i'm a fan as a Rangers fan but wasn't when he was an Angel and his comments made me hate him for a while. He's definitely not the player he was a few years ago but he definitely still has something left to give.
