Football is a big deal here in Texas too and most people are Cowboys fans rather than Rangers fans, so I definitely get it.

 

The worst was living in SEC land. That is king and it's the worst. Especially as a baseball and ACC basketball fan. Literally no one cares about any of the sports I've been in. Or music. Which is why I loved AP.

 

Can't tell you how many times my wife and I have had this discussion. SEC football has literally ruined the southern masses on anything that is non-football.

 

I feel like football in general has. It's popularity grew due to it aligning itself with tailgating and drinking and the fact that it's easy to follow because it's once a week.

It's why I roll my eyes when obviously people who don't know much about sports say they are big football fans. I think it's more out of convience and and a cause to drink.

 

Tailgating is half the fun at college games though

 

That's my point. It's like St. Patrick's Day. No one wouldn't give a fuck if it wasn't for the drinking connection.

 

The Indians are so far and away the best run team in town. The DOLANS R CHEEP crowd of fans are idiots, and they can make all the excuses they want for not going to games. They're just that, excuses.

I was informed about the new place today actually. Good timing with the season right around the corner.

Also, I picked up MLB The Show 16 today, loving it so far. Such a beautiful game and the gameplay seems good so far.

 

The Show has been great. They really changed a lot about the menus and RTTS gameplay. Still not sure how I feel about some of the new features, but I'm also still getting used to them. New batting camera is pretty neat.

 

The only reason I want a playstation but not a good enough reason.

Yeah, I really like the new batting camera. I was so bad at hitting in the previous games. These changes have really helped me become way more consistent with it. Hitting for power and average (with a realistic strategy) is more accessible now.

 

Need all the Cards fans in here, don't want to be the odd man out haha.

 

Wait, Brenden is a Cards fan. My bad.

 

Only team worth following if you ask me.

Pablo Sandoval is benched. I got to respect the Red Sox on that. Most seems would have trotted him out there purely based on his contract.

Honestly I have no idea if the other guy is better.
