Teixeira and A-Rod need to ride the bench forever on out. Name them player/coaches if if will hurt their feelings less.

Jose Reyes is playing tonight at the minor league game i'm at. Fuck him, but I guess it'll be cool to see a major leaguer

I'm so mad Greg Bird is hurt this year. I have like no reason to watch this team right now. I just want to see what Refsnyder, Judge and Sanchez can do at this point.

Not as cool as seeing Nick Swisher and Pete Kozma play in the same AAA game.

Be sure to drink your Ovaltine.

I wish Arod decided to retire this year instead of see out his contract. He's only in it for the money and its not like he's gonna get a send off like Jeter or Ortiz.

I actually enjoyed watching him last year, but I knew he was gonna fall off fast. Can't rest every other year lol. At this rate he won't even catch Ruth, hopefully he'll just surprise everyone and walk if he's still hitting .180 in a month or two like Griffey had the decency to do. I don't think there's anything left in his tank. He barely even made it to 2nd in time on what should have been a no-doubt double tonight.

Even if he had a shot, I don't want him to surpass Ruth. The HR record list needs that pastime allure to it despite Bonds being the "king". And Ruth and Aaron will always provide that.

But it is nice to see modern guys like Griffey, Thome, and Pujols in the mix on the all time list.

Such a bummer about Griffey's injuries. We could've had a legit new HR king. His time in Cincinnati was just the saddest damn thing.

Lol I know that sounds conceited and perhaps it honestly is but something always bugged me about how many "fans" just came out of nowhere dressed head to toe in Royals gear when prior, you didn't really see much of them. Not on this side of the state anyway. Aw well, if it gets them into the team more I guess, who am I really to judge?

No I've witnessed the same thing with my Rangers. I'm a lifelong fan and I'm not trying to say I'm any better of a fan of anything because of it, it just bothers me seeing all the fans come out of the woodwork when a team is doing well but then they shit on the team and crawl back into their hole when they aren't.

Right, I totally agree. It had a good run though. Like between the WS win (which naturally would bring these people out) and the beginning of the season, I saw so many people wearing Royals colors running around. Like whole families all dressed up in Royals gear as they were traveling.

Julio Urias now wearing #7 after wearing #78 in his first start. It seems to be a trend (using the word loosely) for pitchers to be wearing a single digit number - Mike Leake, Blake Snell, and now Julio Urias. The Rockies' Adam Ottavino wore #0 for a couple years.

I don't want to be a traditionalist by any means, but it feels and looks weird to see a pitcher wearing a single digit number. I wonder if it'll become more commonplace. This reminds me of when NFL wide receivers starting wearing 10-19 instead of strictly 80-89.
