Is the attendance bad because the team is bad or does no one care anymore because they are moving? Never been to Turner Field so I'm not sure the quality of stadium or typical attendance.

 

He's back

 

Meh. They've seemed to have dwindling attendance since the early 2000's. Much more this year because nobody cares and the team is terrible. Season was over after the first week. There's no star players on this team. Freeman is really the only guy worthy of having a jersey t-shirt in the gift shop. But there's no issues with the stadium other than it being in the part of the city that isn't much fun to be in. The bad attendance is just a culmination of all kinds of shit.

So @DooDooBird, can you tell us how you really feel about the Braves?

 

I want Jered Weaver to look into the camera and admit that he is DONE. It's comical/enraging that he gets pissed after giving up run after run. What'd you think your 82 mph fastball was going to accomplish?

 

The Mets may be getting spanked by Kershaw, but it is good to see Gilmartin back in the bullpen. He is a rock solid arm when you need innings.

 

I knew they were gonna be bad, but not this bad. Holy shit, it's ugly. Bad in all phases of the game. That one game we won against the phillies felt like 10 victories... that's how sad and hopeless this bunch is. I don't enjoy watching this team very much. It's too ugly. In particular the defense is beyond garbage and I hate every position player not named Freddie, Nick, or Mallex. Actually, Ender is a great defender, so he gets a pass despite not doing much of anything else. And the lineup is like a lineup full of 2014 Chris Johnson's... but somehow even worse. Joe Simpson doesn't make things any better up in the booth... him constantly groaning about umpires and jizzing his pants over Mike Foltynewicz. The studio crew is just as terrible as the team itself. Paul Byrd, Matt Diaz, Nick Green. These dudes are all garbage. And there's less Kristina Fitzpatrick this season and a new not very hot sideline reporter. It's all awful. Everything sucks. I want it to end.

Only bright spots this season... Matt Wisler. Mallex is starting to be decent, I guess. And Freddie is back to being Freddie.

Braves need to cash in on Markakis before the deadline. Teheran too. I'm not crazy about them loading up on more pitching prospects though. I want some young hitting prospects at this point.

I am excited about the new ballpark though. The projected developmental stuff around the stadium looks amazing.

 

Not going to lie, I was really missing DooDoo's rants about the Braves since this season is just ripe for it.

 

Tigers already need to just call it a season. Try and get what you can for some of the good veterans like Kinsler. Losing in the WS against the Giants will haunt me forever.

 

They can still turn it around....right?!! RIGHT?!

I wish Lance Lynn didn't get hurt. Wainwright is not the pitcher he was anymore. Lynn would have locked that rotation better because everyone else is having such highs and lows.

 

i just dont get Wainwright. he looks just terrible but when he came back last year he looked vintage waino.

Rangers also signed Lohse to a minor league deal. Feel like we've been linked with him since I've started following baseball.

 

I'd be okay with this but the 2009-2011 Josh Hamilton not so much the older version now lol.

Yeah i remember before the Brewers signed him we were said to be the runner-up but everything I read pretty much said they didn't really have interest, haha. Either way i'm okay with this deal, maybe he still has a bit left in the tank.

 

Well I'm glad the Cubs' slump only lasted a day.
